What this site is
Pierce County Septic Services is a service of Compass Camper LLC (Oregon), operating as Compass Lead Group. It is a matching service, not a septic contractor, and is not a licensed contractor. We connect Pierce County homeowners with independent on-site sewage professionals certified by the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, Pierce County, or the Washington State Department of Health.

The information here is general and is provided to help you understand what Pierce County and Washington State require of septic system owners. It is not legal advice, engineering advice, or a substitute for an assessment of your specific property by a certified professional. Requirements, fees, forms and review times change, and the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department is the authority on anything described here.

Where this site states a requirement it names the rule or the office it came from. Inspection frequencies and the February 2027 property transfer provisions are from WAC 246-272A-0270. Pierce County process detail is attributed to the Health Department's published material and Pierce County Code and should be confirmed with the Health Department before you rely on it.
